RAM Mounts X-Grip Tether

You may have noticed that your RAM Mounts X-Grip comes with a tether included. Do you really need it and, if so, how is it used?

First of all, the RAM Mounts X-Grip will hold your device very strongly and most people don't use their tether. Having said that, we would never advise someone to not use the tether in any environment where if the phone falls out it could cause damage (Read: we aren't going to be responsible if you don't use your tether).
